Since energy is conserved, this amount of energy is also released when those parts fuse together to form a heavy nucleus. It is expressed as a function of Binding Energy Per Nucleon as a function Atomic Mass Number. Right now, we've been running on the splitting side of the curve of binding energy, but I'm guessing that high corporate profits and low interest rates are going to change this in the next 5-10 years. I like thinking about it, reading it and letting it flow off my tongue. The graph below is called the curve of binding energy. This will again increase the error associated with the curve fitting. But I think “The Curve of Binding Energy” is the most beautiful title in any language and any era. Peaks NIII and NIV is added to complete a curve fit. Is the positron energy range related to nuclear binding energy curves and atomic mass distributions?
